Rose Psychology is a private practice based in Brisbane offering therapy and psychological assessment to adults.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking to better understand yourself, therapy can offer space to reflect, grow, and make meaningful change. We understand that deciding to start therapy can feel like a big step, and finding the right psychologist matters. At Rose Psychology, we offer a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns at your own pace. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many of the people we work with are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who simply want to feel more connected, less anxious, and more like themselves again.

Why People Come to Therapy

People seek therapy for all kinds of reasons. You might be:

  • Struggling with anxiety, OCD, or low self-worth

  • Feeling burnt out, disconnected, or emotionally overwhelmed

  • Recovering from a toxic or high-control environment

  • Navigating identity questions related to gender, sexuality, or neurodivergence

  • Wanting to build emotional intelligence, better boundaries, or more meaningful relationships

Therapy can help you develop insight, increase emotional regulation, and build skills that allow you to live with greater self-awareness and authenticity. One of the most empowering outcomes of therapy is reclaiming a sense of agency and learning how to make intentional choices that align with who you really are.

Inclusive, Affirming, and Client-Centred

Rose Psychology is a neurodiversity affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming practice. We take a client-centred approach to therapy, which means we view you as the expert on your own life. Our job is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own insight, strength, and capacity for change.

We are committed to creating a space where all identities and experiences are welcome. This includes people who have felt out of place in traditional therapy settings, or who have internalised the idea that they are “too much” or “not enough”. We are especially passionate about working with queer clients, neurodivergent adults, and those recovering from experiences of shame, control, or emotional neglect.

You don’t need to have the “right words” or a perfectly clear goal to get started. Some people come in with specific concerns, while others just know that something doesn’t feel quite right. Both are completely valid starting points.

Every client’s story is unique, so we adapt our approach to meet your individual needs and goals.

Our work is grounded in evidence based therapies, but it’s also a shared process. You bring your lived experience, and we bring clinical expertise and curiosity. We tailor our approach to your needs and check in regularly to make sure therapy feels helpful and relevant to you. Our work together might include identifying core beliefs, experimenting with new behaviours, improving emotional regulation, or strengthening your sense of identity and agency. Together, we explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical, meaningful ways to move forward.
