Each 50-minute session costs $240. If you have a referral through Medicare, you may be eligible for a rebate of $141.85, which makes your out-of-pocket cost $98.15 per session. Medicare allows clients to claim up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a referral from a GP.
Individuals who meet criteria for an eating disorder are able to access 40 sessions per year under the Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan (EDP) per year.

Not at all. You’re welcome here whether you have a diagnosis, suspect one, or just know that something doesn’t feel quite right. Many clients come to therapy seeking clarity or support around things that don’t fit neatly into a diagnostic label. We work with the person, not the checklist.
-
Yes. We offer secure online therapy sessions for adults across Australia. This can be especially helpful for people who are neurodivergent, have mobility or sensory needs, or prefer the comfort of their own space.

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and can be held in person in Brisbane or online for clients located anywhere in Australia. We typically start with an initial session to explore what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. From there, we work collaboratively to set goals and decide on a pace and focus that feels right for you.
There is no “right” way to be in therapy. You don’t need to come in with everything figured out. We’ll meet you where you are.
-
It depends on your goals, preferences, and the issues you're working on. Some clients come for short-term support around a specific concern, while others stay longer to explore deeper patterns or work through trauma. We’ll check in regularly and make decisions collaboratively.
-
Therapy is not a quick fix, but with consistency, honesty, and the right support, it can create meaningful, lasting change. As therapy progresses, we move beyond just problem-solving and start exploring the deeper patterns and relational dynamics that shape your experiences.
In ongoing sessions, we might:
Revisit challenges from new angles as your insight deepens
Practice applying strategies outside sessions, and reflect on what works and what doesn’t
Explore the meaning behind strong emotional reactions or stuck points
Work with the therapeutic relationship itself as a mirror for your other relationships
Adapt the structure of sessions as your needs evolve over time
We balance emotional exploration with behavioural change, so that insight translates into action. This may include setting goals, trying new ways of responding to situations, or experimenting with boundaries and communication outside of therapy.
Some people come weekly for a period of time and then space sessions out. Others attend fortnightly or on an ongoing basis. We'll discuss what feels right for you, and adapt the frequency as needed.
You don't have to be in crisis to keep attending. Many clients stay on for longer-term support, using sessions as a space for ongoing reflection, self-development, and emotional maintenance.
-
Unfortunately, many people have. If you're feeling cautious, that's completely understandable. Therapy with us is collaborative, flexible, and paced according to your needs. We welcome feedback and are open about what’s working and what’s not.
-
You’re welcome to come as you are. That said, we do believe therapy works best when insight leads to action. If you're open to it, we may suggest practical tools or behavioural experiments between sessions to help support real-world change—but never in a rigid or prescriptive way.

At this stage, I work exclusively with individual clients to provide focused, personalised support.

We understand that difficult moments don’t always stick to a schedule. However, Rose Psychology is not an emergency service, and we’re not available outside of our regular opening hours.
If you need immediate support, please reach out to one of the following services:
Triple Zero (000) – for emergencies
Lifeline – 13 11 14
1300 64 22 55 – to be connected to your local Mental Health Service
-
Possibly! Some private health providers offer rebates for sessions with a registered psychologist. Because each policy is different, we recommend contacting your provider directly to check your eligibility and get a quote.
Please note:
Rose Psychology can’t guarantee rebates, as coverage depends on your insurer and your level of cover.
You can’t claim both a Medicare rebate and a private health rebate for the same session.
-
There is a fee for preparing letters and reports. These are not included in your regular session fee, as they require time outside of the session to complete.
The cost will vary depending on the complexity and time involved. Please feel free to ask if you’d like a quote ahead of time.

We know that life happens and plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice.
Because our appointments are in high demand, this notice helps us offer the time to another client who may be waiting.
Here’s our cancellation policy:
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice – $100 fee
Missed appointments (no-shows or forgotten sessions) – Full session fee applies
Please note that Medicare and private health funds do not cover fees for late cancellations or missed appointments.
